Rivareno Gelato and Cakes
When it gets hot then customers of Rivareno Laboratorio Italian ice cream shop cool themselves with an ice cream or gelato.
The outlet at 101 Macleay Street Potts Point takes its name from the river Reno which runs through Bologna in Italy, home of gelati. It adds some Euro style to Macleay Street.
The inside and outside chairs are in the French open weave style with black marble tabletops.
Staff are uber-friendly and come with a vivace flair as they add ice creams to cups and cones.
Their ice cream cakes are more than ice creams: they are art.
It all happens behind a black wall on site with a discreet door marked enigmatically “The magic happens in here”.
One of the favourites is fig gelato with their famous marinated cherry syrup. Simply sumptuous.
It reminds me of the famous Via dei Condotti in Rome where ice cream shops flourish.
Rivareno has been here for over three years and has other outlets at Crown Street Darlinghurst, Barangaroo and Parramatta
