ART AND ABOUT – COKE SIGN SUNSETS

A new photography exhibition is now showing at Macleay-Regis, 12 Macleay Street, Potts Point, by Alex McClintock.
Mr McClintock says “The Coke sign is one of The Cross’ last flashes of neon. It’s nostalgic. And it glows blood red in the setting sun, even when the lights are switch off.”
Coke Sign Sunsets reflects those images.
“Street photography might seem a weird hobby – but it’s taught me patience and persistence,” he says.
There are nine prints for sale in his current exhibition in various sizes ranging from 4″ x 6″ up to 24″ x 36″. Each print is a limited edition of five except the 4″ x 6″ print, which is a limited edition of ten.
All photographs are giclée printed in Sydney with archival inks. Giclée printing is a high-quality inkjet printing method used for fine art and photographic reproductions using printing method using high-resolution digital files, archival-grade pigment inks and high-quality media like canvas or acid-free paper to create prints with exceptional colour accuracy, detail and longevity. This process is known for its ability to create fade-resistant, museum-quality reproductions.
Framing of prints can be arranged for an additional fee.
Coke Signs Sunsets was a winner of the 2024 All About Photo Magazine global street photography exhibition, and a finalist in the 2025 Rome International Street Photography Contest.
