Hey Felix, for those on the go

15 Oct 2020

Mark Day is a man on the run. So he knows what locals need to keep the wheels rolling on their fast-paced, time-line-driven “go-carts” in terms of time and organisation.

That’s why he’s recently started his new business, Hey Felix. It’s a neighbourhood concierge service offering ongoing assistance to save locals time and stress amid the hum and thrum of our high-octane living.

It’s a name that not only conjures up an image of a lucky cartoon character black cat but is an acronym for the company ethos: Focus, Empathy, Localism, Integrity and Xcellence.

Hey Felix offers a variety of services for those working long hours or enjoying retirement for example. Hey Felix can manage in-home services, from spare keys to parcel deliveries to arranging a handyman or cleaner or even chaperoning clients to a medical appointment and arranging a chef and waiter for a dinner party. Assistance with moving house is also a staple service.

With qualifications in property management and a background in market research Mark knows how important it is to listen and make decisions around what people want and need. He’s lived in Potts Point for 35 years and loves it here. He has always liked being the go-to person to help out with personal tasks and connecting people with the right help.

Hey Felix’s office is opposite Westpac in Macleay Street and offers parcel pickups for those who shop online more frequently, need mail managed or prefer in-home deliveries according to their own schedule. They can also be there to meet larger deliveries at your home. The office is decorated in the chic Art Deco style befitting its Minerva building provenance, with gold ziggurat motifs and an ingenious art installation made from recycled bin lids!

Hey Felix will also manage your keys or security cards and spare keys, casually or monthly and secure items in their anonymously-coded key safe.

It’s like having a professional butler on permanent stand-by or a front desk concierge with all the best information at their fingertips but at an affordable price for all locals to access.

“Business has been brisk since opening a few weeks ago,” says owner, Mark Day. “We love locals and preference local service providers. My most unusual requests have been to successfully negotiate and buy a car to arranging a divorce party cake with Freedom inscribed in icing!”
