Reece Farmilo is a man on the fly. He is the Managing Director of our local travel agency here in Macleay Street Potts Point.
He’s been in the travel business for 30 years providing clients with a top tier service from his eight staff. Staff are available if required on-line after the shop has closed. They all enjoy the location for its interest and locale. The Macleay Street outlet was preceded by their Elizabeth Bay shop which was opposite a cafe Reece owned.
Reece is a former local resident, and their current location is very convenient for customers and passers-by. It has high street visibility and is in a niche of other small businesses in a dense residential zone.
The recent COVID crisis saw business tumble as travelling dropped off dramatically.
It was a very tough time but staff kept working vigilantly and remotely. “They a very resilient and a loyal team,”‘ Reece says.
Their attention to detail has meant they have a 70% referral rate from return clients. They work hard to get the best prices and latest deals and aim to make every person a VIP traveller.
It’s a unique experience, as is the outlet itself. Reece was previously an architect, and it shows. The agency is chic.
On wall is covered in wallpaper with a fish motif, the entrance looks like a boutique with its uber trendy table and chairs and a massive swimming pool artwork tempting and overlooking clients and staff as staff tap away to get the best global and local options for clients.
It’s a boutique really and all part of an enjoyable experience. They take the hassle out of getting away during these chilly winter months and beyond.
