Jennifer Reeves is the proprietor of a local florist shop, Wild about Flowers. 2 Llankelly Place, Potts Point.
She’s been a local resident for five years and knows locals’ mindset and interests very well.
Her new atelier was preceded by her Elizabeth Bay shop and her Paddington pop-up shop, giving her 20 years’ experience in floristry.
She creates bouquets and wreaths for weddings, birthdays, funerals, baptisms, get well greetings, office farewells and other corporate and special events.
“Flowers are living things. They add beauty to any occasion and are fundamental to a good life. Beauty is healing,” she says.
“I love Potts Point and Elizabeth Bay and locals seem to love my boutique and are very supportive. We all enjoy a wonderful community spirit,” she adds vivaciously.
She encourages everyone to call in and say hello and see where she conducts floristry workshops and see how the magic happens.
Wild About Flowers specialises in Indigenous flowers, not just because they grow naturally in the wild, but because our harsh climate allows them to thrive in the heat. They are robust, last longer, require less maintenance and are not imported. There are huge varieties of native flowers species in various seasons and, apart from them being long lasting, they can be very colourful. Some are very rare and take an effort to acquire, but Jennifer knows where to find them.
Jennifer also utilises roses and seasonal flowers. She combines these in her arrangements for Valentine’s Day (Wednesday 14th February) to create her signature design; combining roses with native flowers, designs unique to her.
Her most popular floral arrangements include Banksia, Barker Bush, Eucalyptus, King Protea and Kangaroo Paw.
She encourages clients to pre-order for Valentine’s Day by Wednesday 7th February to avoid disappointment and ensure delivery.
