YOGA FOR THE MIND & BODY

Yoga is a practice that combines body postures, breathing exercises and meditation. It has numerous health benefits, including improved flexibility, strength, mental focus and stress reduction.
Regular sessions can also improve cardiovascular health, digestion, help calm the nervous system and are excellent for overall well-being.
Sessions provide extra focus on breathing and help clear the mind.
Locals love them.
John, a local resident agrees, saying it is a “beneficial routine that energises the mind, body and spirit.” It forms part of his regular routine. Others say it makes them feel calmerĀ clearing the mind, making them feel stronger and more flexible.
Yann Vignes is a local yoga teacher and runs regular classes three times a week here in the Kings Cross Community Centre rooms in Potts Point. He encourages all participants and has undertakenĀ professional teacher training, running classes for over six years.
His classes are free and popular with about 12-15 participants. Session are three times a week and last 75 minutes.

Attendees are provided with, or can bring their own, soft yoga mat, a cork block and straps. They engage in the lotus position to meditate and tune the body.
